October Fun!

Ahh...the change of weather. It's so wonderful. When summer turns to fall, it's like a switch turns on in me and I feel so invigorated and energized and ready to take on craft projects, kid projects and light every candle I can find! In addition to having Mom and Mike visit (which was such a nice time - come back soon!), the boys have had a busy month so far! The boys got to visit our local firestation for an open house event and were so intrigued by watching a car crash rescue demonstration where they cut the roof of the car off and watched the fireman pull a person out of the vehicle. They've been talking about it for days now. :) Nathan wouldn't get near Smokey Bear and Joshua wanted to give him his stickers and gave him a hug. Polar opposites!
We also had some friends and Jen and her kids over for decorating fall cookies. It was messy and so cute to watch the kids overload their cookies with sprinkles!

Mom - note the CVS behind Matt, hint, hint

Nathan pretty much inhaled his cookie, I didn't even get a chance to get a picture of it!

And, I have got to find a jam recipe that uses persimmons, because we picked them all of the tree to keep the crows from eating them and now they are all ripe, all 100 of them! So, if anyone has one, I would be much obliged. :)
