A Few Little Jules

Hehe...get it - Jewels. I would rather she have the nickname of Jules than Julie though.

So Close to the Finish Line!

Only a week and a half to go at the maximum! Here's a comparison of all my "end" pictures of each pregnancy.  It sure looks like this go-round wins biggest belly of them all! :)

Two days before delivering N

Our Little Kindergartner!

We are so pleased with Nathan's rapid progress with school...his writing skills have come a long way in such a short amount of time. We have a paper up on the fridge that he wrote the name "Daddy" on. It is so sweet to see a whole new side of him developing.

Here he is in his new classroom. The classroom is almost done with remodeling, so it's still a work in progress on the classroom setup. There are 8 kids in his class.

And then there's Bubsie Josh, who keeps his mommy quite entertained while Nate is at school!

Abby's Quilt

Abby's very girly quilt! If you look closely, you can see the free-motion quilting that I did all over to give it the traditional quilt effect. I'm so pleased with how it turned out and I think Abby is too!

Bunk Buddies

Here's their new bunk beds! They really like their new beds and feel like "big kids". Matt put handles on top to help them with climbing and now J says that he is not scared anymore to go up top. Sometimes N likes to just sit up there and look through books. They also don't miss their old room, in fact, they have barely even gone in the room since they moved out of it, even though there are still books and some toys in there.

It's a Yard, No - It's A Playground, No - It's a Yard...

Here's some upgrades to the yard on the boys' behalf. A dome climber and a teeter totter!

4 Months and Growing

Does the title sound familiar? ;)  Well, here I am, in front of our ripe and overloaded apricot tree. So much so that the apricots keep falling and the bowl that I am holding is how much I fill in one day, not including all the little tasty fruit still waiting to fall. The birds are getting a nice share in the feast too.

I tried something new - I made jam and then water bath canned it and my jar lids popped! That's a good thing, by the way, since it means that they are properly sealed and can stay fresh on the shelf for a year! So, besides slightly burning the apricot jam, which only affected the color, not the flavor, I made 4 jars of jam and now feel comfortable making many more. It's nice to go through the effort of making the jam and not have to use up all of the jars in three weeks for the quick jam that you just refrigerate after making.

Josh and Nate collect the fallen apricots in their butterfly nets :)

Sew...I Need to Catch Up You Say?

So, to get started on my way overdue pictures that have been stuck on the camera for way too long, here's the quilt I made for Kyla, a crochet headband for a baby girl and a burp cloth and pacifier clips for another baby girl. I forgot to take pics of the burp cloth and clip I made for Jen! Maybe I'll get a picture of it on Daniel. :)
