Very Crafty

I recently made up for some long-lost time in crafting by cramming it all in a short period. At least it felt like that! Here's a couple of my recent endeavors:

 - Quilt I made for nephew J's 6th birthday. I'm so proud of my first real quilt! The squares were all lined up - woohoo!! I made the top squares first then put the batting and backing all together and "stiched-in-the-ditch" which is sewing in the original seam lines of the squares, so the back has the same square block pattern.

Back of the quilt in need of a lint roller after I set it down on our wool rug!
And after I received a frosting tip set (56 tips!) from Mary for my birthday, I got to try them out on her birthday cake! The cream cheese frosting was harder to work with than buttercream but it was not so soft that it didn:t do what I wanted.
