The Beauty of Crochet

The beauty of crochet (besides the visual aspect of it) is that it can be started and stopped at anytime which, of course, is a must when trying to work on a craft project when you have little ones. It's nice to take a break for five minutes and pick up the project where you left off and then be able to set it down again for days even before you get back to it. And you can take it anywhere too. A friend of mine recently had a baby girl and since our very meager winter doesn't allow for giving baby hats as a gift much, I whipped one up for her. In fact, the day I gave it to her was cold enough for her to put it on her little girl! I made a second one in a different color but I didn't get a chance to make the flower for it yet, so I only gave her the white hat.

Awww....so cute! Now, if a certain sister that I have happened to have a little girl in her belly, than I would have one for her too, but it might not be cold enough to warrant one by that time!
